Omuzyka Ltd. is a dynamic boutique agency specializing in concert promotion, live music brokering, and event project management. Based in Northwest England, we are passionate about bringing exceptional live music experiences to audiences. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with talented artists and industry professionals. Successful candidates can expect a competitive salary between £22,000 and £32,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
The Role:
The Operations and Finance Assistant will offer extensive support to the Managing Director, managing a variety of tasks related to operations and finance. You'll be instrumental in ensuring seamless artist payments, effective client communication, and smooth internal processes.
Responsibilities:
Operations: Handle daily office tasks (filing, scheduling, vendor coordination) while in the office. Organize documents and project information (both in-office and remotely). Assist with light event planning (may require occasional in-office presence).
Finance: Create commission statements and tour summaries for artists.Collaborate with Agent teams on show settlements and payments.Assist clients with income reporting, tax queries, and financial matters.Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies.
General: Maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills.Exhibit a commitment to accuracy and proactive problem-solving.Be proficient in Google Drive, Mac, Excel, and Word. Have solid mathematical skills. Manage stress effectively and remain calm under pressure.
Ideal Candidate:
2-3 years of experience in the music industry (preferably in booking or live entertainment).
Familiarity with settlement sheets, artist deal structures, and basic accounting practices.
Professional and personable demeanor.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently while working both independently and collaboratively.
Strong attention to detail and familiarity with our artist roster (if applicable).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in a hybrid work setting.
Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
